cold start weirdness

Post by meteg »

hello,

I wanted to ask something that I find weird about my 95 850 N/A car.when started first in the morning sitting overnight the idle goes until 2500rpms and slowly returns to the normal position in 5 seconds.another thing is sometimes when started in the morning the car feels like it has lost power and it continues the whole day. sometimes when started in the morning it feels totally normal and performs great.. the engine is new, all sensors are new but the fuel relay and pump are not.. the pump is not volvo pump is TRE .. I wonder if this could be the problem

what could be causing this issue?

hello Meteg

any codes ?

i would clean maf sensor with maf cleaner (spray it let it air dry and never touch the elements ) clean idle air vavle and would verify fuel pressure at end of rail fuel pressure has to be steady above 40 psi at all times...and see how it goes from there..

cheers !

it looks like I will have to buy a pressure gauge so I can be sure about the fuel pressure.I think sometimes the pressure drops.. I will let everyone know after I buy a pressure gauge and test the pressure at the fuel rail.
