Flash code reader for OBDII socket

My car has the OBD connector under the coin tray, but it is not really OBD2 compliant. Jod_T5 has instructions for reading the codes here:

I made it easier on myself by getting an OBD 2 connector, and putting a switch and led in a (Radio Shack) project box:



This is so much easier than sticking wires in the socket.

My car rewarded my effort with a 1-1-1.
