DO88.se Intercooler Pipe kit on S80

As you might have seen, the DO88.se turbo pressure pipes kit is not compatible with the S80. Even so, I bought it as it is a worthwhile upgrade over the plastic pipes. It needed some modification, but nothing too serious.

Today I finalised the built. Result: pulls a tad harder + a little bit more turbo lag.

The difference is staggering.

The upper pipe needs some work though.
-The pipe needs to be sliced in half & connected with a hump hose
-You need to create a custom bracket to hold it in place
-You need some 63mm (ID) silicone hose to get it to sit in place in the angled hose

Hi,

looks good! may i ask a few questions?
I was considering a Do88 charge kit as well on my XC 2.5T as i have a Snaab inlet kit, on a stock turbo.
Is your car had a remap or do you run a stock engine with a stock turbo?
It does increase the air volume in the intercooler system is that ok with a stock turbo?
Is the throttle inlet tube not to close to the starter connections?

Found answers back when you fitted the stainless catback exhaust.
You had a BSR tuning on the car.

Hiya, was on a holiday. My car has not been remapped yet! Its running on stock software. You are probably a little bit confused, I have a BSR downpipe, but unfortunately no BSR software.

I have a 16T turbo on my 2.4T engine (instead of the 13T turbo), but swapped over the stock 13T wastegate on the 16T turbo, so it runs normal boost. If you skip this step, it will run in limp mode as the software needs to be modified.

Even with the 16T turbo without remap, it pulls harder as the 16T flows better than the 13T turbo, believe me

That seems like a lot of work for not that much of an improvement? "Slice the pipe in half" to get it to fit? Jeezz!

Reliability + performance upgrade, especially when you remap it. Unfortunately the slicing was needed as the kit is not designed for the S80.
