charging 240 ac Topic is solved

i atempted to charge the ac on a 1990 240 volvo rthrough the scrader valve on the receiver drier,and expected a cap,instead the whole valve? came out like a plug just leaving ascrew whole.is this not the low side charge location or is there another port.if it is the charge port,where can one get the needed adaptor?thank you[size=18][/size]

I think that's some sort of relief valve. I have had to charge through the port on the back of the compressor. I have a replacement compressor, but they might all have one. Make sure you use the one on the suction side and not the discharge (you probably already knew that).
