No start when warm 87 740GLE Topic is solved

Hello All,


The two problems have become very specific.
and seem to be related. As long as the temp.
stays in the lower operating range the are no
problems. It runs fine and starts fine.

Just before the needle on the temp. gauge is
strait up (where is should be) is when the
problems begin. First the idle speed increases,
and it will no start untill it cools down. When
it is cool it once again starts no problem.

The books I have show nothing in regards
to either problem, so I am lost. Any help
will be greatly appreciated.
