Ok I have discovered this weekend that the car is stumbling and stalling when the underside gets wet. It's very tempermental. Car is a '90 740 GL has new wires, plugs, and d. cap. What else could be getting wet and causing the engine to stall? (The engine, once it stalls, has trouble starting up again. When you let it sit for a while, it finally gets moving once more.)

ps- This car has the Regina Rex fuel system.

Even though the distributor cap is new, it can still get wet inside because the seal isn't water tight.

Yeah, I learned from the mechanic today that water was getting in there. He says it shouldn't be though. I assume he'll fix the seal or do some makeshift repair to try and keep water from getting in there. Isn't this something that should NOT be happening? A Volvo surely can't be reliable if every time it gets wet it stalls on you. ::sigh::
