This morning I completed installation of the last trailer floor boards. I only hit about 4 previous bolt holes and only drilled 2 offset, new holes. Broke 1 drill bit (but it can be shortened and resharpened).
I used my Drill Dr. bit sharpener several times. This is a nice tool if you have many drill bits to keep sharp.
I want to add a couple more coats of sealer to the top of the floor now.
With the old floor off, I extended the under floor ramp racks for the longer ramps I built several years ago. An added feature is the rack extends outside the floor edge and about 6 inches down. It will be a handy step for older legs.
I also plan to weld on a bracket at the front of the trailer for a hand crank winch.
The axles are also due for grease and adjustment. Thirty year maintenance cycle seems about right.

Restoring this old Broilmaster Model 4G. I had been shopping for a new barbecue last week and was uninspired by the offerings and prices. I was given this 1977 Broilmaster when I saw it in the backyard of someone who I was buying an old two stoke Lawnboy from. It had been unused for years and sat in the weather with a cover over it so the burner and internals were terribly rusted. Its the same model my parents have had since 1981 and still use to this day.
I've assembled a parts list to order and will switch it over to Natural Gas from propane as I have an outlet on my deck. Stay tuned........

We’re always planting trees - replacing old trees, moving trees, changing the shape of the gardens, screening the street.
My wife’s dad was a champion tree planter, he really believed in that quote.

Today I finished repacking the last trailer wheel bearings. I think the trailer upgrade project is completed. New floor with water sealer, improved ramp racks, manual winch with removable bracket, wheel bearings cleaned and repacked, and new red paint on the new bare steel.
Need new tires and want to upgrade to 16 inch wheels from 15 inch. But that will be later.

.
Neighbor said you have water coming out of the roof overhang vents. Not again as this occurred maybe 2 years ago. The primary condensate line for the furnace / evaporator combo is in the attic and comes out on one side of house directly from the unit to the ground. PCV tube is in the wall till it come out into the crawl space then piped out. The secondary is from a tube out of the unit into a large pan under the entire unit. The pan has another tube going to the other side of the home but drips right onto the overhang vent.
This time the stoppage was not in the line per se but in the P trap as it exits the unit. Full of rusty metal debris as the unit is 20 years old. Detached the P trap tube coming out of the unit and found a huge broken zip tie sitting in the attic that use to clamp a large air duct. Used the flat end twisting and shoving for a bit to clear a path. Wasn't good enough so shove the square end where the zip ties enters twisting, pushing and puling till around 12" went into the straight pipe after the P trap. Flushed with hot water and it flows normally again.

I'm looking for light diffusers for these step lights. I don't know what to look for. Home Depot from what I can tell sells finished products for the most part now, like lamps and smoke detectors, and tools, etc.
What I think I need is sheet... acrylic? Clear plastic? I have no idea. I'm looking for help.
The old diffusers (some sort of simple translucent material) cracked long ago. I only need maybe two or three inches x six or seven inches, two of that. A tiny amount. If I hunted around in dumpsters for an hour or two I'm sure I could find enough to last five lifetimes. But I'm too old for that, if not for physical ability then embarrassment avoidance.

Like maybe a white frosted Lexan or acrylic sheet?

That’s a beautiful stair by the way.
