Ok only photography in the narrowest sense, but here's my town ID from when me and my family lived near Brussels, Belgium in the late 1970s. Everybody had to have theirs on them. Mine has a long ribbon to be worn as a necklace.

A buddies vintage sprint car with alcohol fuel Offenhauser engine. He tells me you had to drain and flush the alcohol after every running to avoid fuel system damage.

As I recall you need about twice the pure alcohol as gasoline for same power. So ethanol fuels reduce your MPG but maybe not your Miles Per Dollar.
