Cross linked polyethylene. It’s used all over the food industry so you have bern gettin exposed to it for years.

It doesn’t leak during freeze thaw sessions at my cottage , whereas the copper and steel burst.

I asked my mom yesterday if she's been using her Shark RV1001AE IQ robot vacuum. It's like a Roomba if you know those. I haven't seen it for years. She said no, and do I want it. Sure.

Dead battery, but I cleaned it all up and changed the filter in the base station, and blew out the robot filter with my air compressor. Ordered a replacement battery that should be here tomorrow ($16).

I've never owned one of these crazy little things.

Our son and d-i-l have one. They have it programmed - it does certain rooms and goes back in its garage. It has mapped the rooms so it knows if it has covered the whole area. They schedule it so they’re at work and it only bothers the cat. They’ve scheduled the charging time so it’s during their city’s low-demand utility rates.

I don’t understand how it can get into corners - it can’t.

They adapt and overcome. When you see them riding it, that has happened.

You do know that the map of your house is sent back to Langley in case they have to send a wet team?

Thanksgiving resolution to get rid of dead technology. I know have 8 laptops crammed into my office and will find power supplies and see if they boot.

Oldest one is a Compaq I wrote my thesis on in 1989. Oooof.

I am betting the Compaq will not take a charge.
Somewhere I have a TRS-80 from 1980.

Got a coat of pain on the new deck railing. Just reached 55 today so two quick coats will protect the wood this winter.

Found4Gb of photos from moms camera ftom 2008-2018 , previously lost

Got a very cool led light monitor for desktop trade shows.

It snowed here last night and we’re headed for low temps in the next few days. I feel it’s the end of:
Painting-anything-outside season.
Biking season.
Working-on-cars-outside season.

Funny you mention long lost images. My sister has uncovered 1000 35mm slides (some glass) my dad took, along with a hand-written tablet with a description of each, including exposure, f-stop, where, and what. They’re in those long grey metal boxes. Many from the late 30’s to late 40’s. Family, flowers, travel, national parks, South America stint in WWII. Many, plus the logbook diary, are invaluable to me. We are looking at options to get them scanned so we have the digital files. I’m seeing 45 to 50 cents US each, you send them off to a lab.
