What non automotive projects and repairs are you doing?

The 18 year old tire I resurrected with bead sealer has a huge bulge near the rim damage. Oh well, skill learned.

I’ll use that wheel as a roller to dispose of car carcasses.

Keep the tire deflated in the dark or it may spontaneously depressurize.

My little Shark Robot vacuum buddy stopped working a week ago. "Please check underneath robot for an obstruction. Error number two."

I found some other accounts of this problem and it sounded like a possible end-of-life event for the Shark.

It would run for 10 feet then stop and announce the error.

Well I spent all of four minutes fixing him just now.

It was dumb simple. That fuzzball was clogging one side of the roller/pick up component. Those axles are non-bearing, just kind of one piece of plastic rotating around another. The fuzzball was simply making that axle bind. I could turn it by hand once out, but I could imagine it was at least a 10x torque load penalty, and the onboard programming shut the party down after sensing it for a few seconds.

Number of tools needed: 0! The roller pops out with clips. It's now been vacuuming its little wheels off for 20 minutes. We're so back.

Summer 2004, my house in Seattle. I built a small patio at our 1941 Craftsman. Smashed a concrete sidewalk, hauled it away. You can see where that used to be... draw a straight line from the trash can to the lower right. It connected from the driveway to the house steps. The old garage was a basement garage(!) but had long prior been converted to a basement room. The steep driveway remained.

I put in the bathroom pedestal sink and the fireplace tile also, and those are still there.
