You did well I think because having this kind of memory makes you too nostalgic.

I’m struggling with an upcoming end of life decision for our black lab. On a bad day she barely has rear leg function, then just when you think the decision is easily she is a bouncy puppy the next day. It’s hard.

Here are my guys, flanking theQueen Bee , the strange dog in the middle who if you piss her off your face suddenly hurts.

Sorry to hear this. That is one of the hardest decisions to have to deal with. It can be hard to tell when we're holding on for them or us.
When it came to Ashley, my Russian Blue of 18 years, I went by her quality of life, specifically if she still enjoyed eating.
When that started to decline, I knew it was time.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Yeah you gotta make sure if your loved pet is in pain or not. Excessive pain is not fun to live with.

We lost our Russian Blue mutt a year ago April. Tough since her closest pal was overseas in Grad School and couldnt get back.

Very smart and social guy. I still miss him. The Shepard above adored him and used to hold him down and clean him while he purred.
