Reset service light procedure

On the 1999

Ignition off.
Press in trip odometer reset button.
Switch on ignition.
Continue pressing in the reset button for 10 seconds. (Sing one third of the "Final Jeopardy" theme
Release reset button within 4 seconds.

Cut a piece of black electrical tape about 3/4" by 3/4" and place it over the light

Horrible advice, Shirley....

It's 19mm x19mm, and the electrical tape colour must match the body exterior, of course.

Added 1 at oil at 174100 miles. Usage approx 1 qt per 2500 miles
Topped off with 200 ml coolant
Exhaust hub still growling the same

Rear defogger INOP - checked, replaced number 14 fuse, 30 Amp - probably blew during no-start debacle above, due to short in rear tailgate loom
