V 40 seat belt, damage to trim

Post by Neil D »

Hello all

I am new to this forum, and sending this mail on the behalf of my father who has aquired a second hand V40 ( nice car )

The question is the following :

have any owners observed that the seat belt ( front ) cuts into the lower part of the slot just behind the drivers shoulder.

This not only damages the belt, but prevents rewinding

Anybody have a good solution

Cheers

Neil

There must be some clip on piece available.

This is potentially dangerous. I think I will take a walk around the local scrap yard, and see what other cars have.

Yea my 1999 S40 does it too....it's just the sedign of them, It is a bit obvious when you look at it, but if you put anything there it will cut through it over time.
