05' s40 door panel removal

Post by ajc518 »

My passenger side cloth door panel needs some work done to it. It's the cloth part that is also attached to the panel for the window control. The cloth has become old, dirty, and is starting to tear.

It's looks like I can just stick something in the sides, and pop it off. However I didnt want to try it, and screw it up. So how do you take it off? Also, are there any websites that sell new ones? thanks

p.s. pics always help too

Thanks for that, it helps show me how to get the window control part off.

The part I am actually trying to remove I highlighted in yellow on the attached picture. What you sent me just shows removing the whole side panel.

The part I am trying to take off, I just want to know if it also just pops off. I didnt want to waste my time, or break it trying to if it doesnt.

I don't know. My guess would be it's glued on.

Probably glued in from behind like on the x70 series.
If that's the case and you're removing it, you can put it back in place with a hot glue gun...mine came off pretty easily (S70).
