Another thought would be to jack up to rear of the car on the leaking side. Probably could move the fuel enough to not make a big mess. Driving it would be best.

Keokuk to Des Moines would be a haul in that condition. I’m on the NW side of Des Moines so know that journey.

Ran about 9 gallons of fuel from the tank, put the left rear wheel on a ramp, replaced the o-ring (cleaned a small amount of debris in the tank groove where o-ring sits), installed new o-ring & threaded retainer and after 15 hours, no leaks. Thanks for the help.

Late to the party, but if your fuel pump is not dead, you can drive it directly from a 12v battery. Disconnect the fuel line and collect fuel from there.

When I had to do the Kat AWD fuel pump the tank was 12 gallons full. I couldn’t even get to the fuel lines on that design , to attach an aux pump. So I finally dropped the tank and then pumped about 6 gallons out of the right saddle tank

Then, horror upon horror , I opened the fuel pump ring and let the rest evaporate off over a week.
