1. Do I see 7 Volvos in that picture?

Indeed there are.

2. Is that a water heater in the midst of all that?

Indeed it is, and thanks for not calling it a 'hot water heater'

3. Do your neighbors hate you? 😂

Hmm. That remains to be seen, although I do understand a party was thrown when I left.

I doubt my SWMBO will go for this car sitting in our driveway, because I honestly won’t be able to touch it for months….but I’m game.
Goodnight Elizabeth,

These guys have way more experience and recent knowledge, but when I blew up my Audi A4 (like, a rod through the block), I bought a good running longblock with 130k on it from a reputable salvage yard / recycler for maybe $1200 and a bit. They shipped it on their daily truck trip. I put it in over a winter in the garage with little experience with these engines. Then I spent more replacing every bit of plumbing, hoses, sensors, senders, seals, vac lines, SAS pump, oil pump, clutch, flywheel, rebuilt the turbo. Except for a couple of issues with cheap aftermarket sensors, it ran great for many more years.

I see someone suggested you could get a decent lower mile wagon for 3 or 4000, so you have to look at the math, your time, your experience, and your interest in tackling this.
