P2 cruise control is all electronic. Are the buttons on the dash sticky? Mine sticks on sometimes and wipes out cruise.

Check your ECU for codes , some of them inhibit cruise. BCM codes will do.

VIDA is the best tool to troubleshoot. Comm problems between CDM and ECU will inhibit cruise

The brake pressure sensor located in the engine bay on the booster itself becomes rusted slightly leading to improper detection when braking. This emits a DTC and inhibits cruise control.

Carefully remove it and try pressing on the switch, if you are hearing the spring inside sound difficult to move or rusted/sqeuaky, spray WD-40 around the switch and press it several times to get it in there.

Fix will work for around a year depending on climate.

Of course your issue could be different, but this is one issue where it inhibits cruise control, apart from the buttons themselves.

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.
