Here is the page from VIDA on the 2007 airbag removal, I really don't think anything has changed in the design, can you post a picture of your wheel, front and back?

Been in here another hour and 1/2 trying both sides. Have the camera in there. I just can't see how the tab moves to release it. I can't see that little lever that is shown in the pictures with the camera, nothing. I am prying up as hard as I can with the blade above the tab and below the tab. Nothing.

I don't know what else to do unless someone else here with an '07 XC70 can please, please chime in. It is clearly different than what others have posted so far.

Here is an eBay Ad for an airbag that looks like mine. It does not have the post like the others. In the second to last picture look at the tabs. Those are the tabs I have sticking through the hole.

There is no little lever I can see looking in the hole. I will take some more pics with the camera to see if you can see it better. Here is my steering wheel front and back.

Ahh I see what you mean, it is different! I would try prying that tab to the outside and see if it releases, one side at a time while pulling on the airbag. If that doesn't work, try prying it to the inside.

Hmmmmm. No. That was not in any of the instructions anywhere including the VIDA.

I will try that now but they will have to be really long to reach the airbag.

You mean pry side to side instead of up and down?

Here are pics from inside the hole.

Pic 2 is with the tab bent up so you can see what is underneath it. No lever. Just the backing plate for the airbag.

Pic 1 is with the tab bent down and you can see a solid piece of metal there where my screwdriver has been banging into it and scraping it up. No lever.

A couple of other pics for perspective.

Torx screws are in insanely tight. Can't break them free at all. I don't think they are connected to the airbag but could be....

Here's what I just found on Volvo forums. I have been searching for days. When I added the word "Vida" to the search this thread came up. Exact same issue I am having.!! I can't get the torx screws to move is my problem now. I can't tell if they are T25 or 30.....
