Need bulb sockets for license plate V70 2007

Greetings,

Anyone have a parts car can sell a couple of license plate bulb sockets for a v70 2007 140K.
Mine are fried.

Just need the sockets and a few inches of the original wire.

Don't waste your time with old parts that will break again.
A brand new part is ~ $25...

Volvo PN 9483494 is for V70 model.
The PN for S60 is probably different.

I can't find the wiring section for an S60, but the one you list is listed for V70/XC70/XC90 P2 models.

Strange, I can find an S60 uses the same license plate light unit, but I can't find the lighting harness listed.

I have just ordered a new harness from Volvo for our V70 as the bulb holder sis exactly what yours has done. Fortunately it is not urgent as I have a spare but I will use this one for the back up camera which means that broken end will be cut off anyway.

Many yrs ago, I replaced the wiring harness for 2004 V70.
So I know the above PN is good for V70.

"If" there is any difference in harness for V70 vs S60, it is probably in the LENGTH of the wiring harness.

If anyone has done the wiring harness for S60, please report back what you use for this job.

Oh, you're gonna love this. The license plate light wiring harness for the S60 includes the trunk release switch, so instead of 20€ it's 160€

The part number is 30634364.

I happen to know that because my switch broke the other day. Fun times, but at least I get two new license plate bulb sockets

Can ppl use the V70 ($25) and somehow cut/connect using butt connectors to make it work for the S60? For cheap...

You have me thinking the same. When the weather warms up a bit I will see if there is a S60 in the junkyard and take a look.

Sorry for the poor picture, I changed the license plate bulb at 1am and just took a quick picture:

But yes, the V70 and S60 bulb sockets are identical, you could just get a V70 harness, chop the sockets off and connect it to the S60 harness.

I am curious re bulb socket...

Is the Volvo bulb socket design unique or you can buy some generic bulb socket for $2-$3/each?
