...one more thing - why is turbo pushing fluid -- PCV clog, turbine seal, return oil line clog?

How many miles on the car, how much oil consumption between changes and are you using Synthetic? The reason I ask is because my turbo was soaked when I purchase it. After the PCV it would still have a drip just like yours (under the Turbo) and the inside still had oil and the Turbo piping would be damp. Forward 2 years it is completely dry, no drip and this with a smoking dipstick that was never remedied. The oil gushing dipstick tube after the PCV became a smoldering volcano. I know it is not the PTC that was causing the residual oil dripage and dampness in the tubes as it is all gone now.

The inside is sticky as is with the Turbo tubing which indicates there is no more seepage from the Turbo and of course no more oil under the Turbo.

It is just below 147,000 miles. It runs on Pennzoil 5W30 conventional. For urban/sub- living, I change oil and filter every 4-months, 3500+ miles. Loss of oil is minimal, guessing 100ml.

The inlet and outlet connections are dry.

My 03 xc has 256k miles and i'm chasing this similar oil drip after clearing up and replacing the rear cam seal. I'm curious as to what is causing this. whenever I pull off the immediate charge piping from the turbo compressor housing to the intercooler, I notice some oil around the outside lip of the turbo compressor housing pressure side and then some residual oil in the plastic charge piping as well on both ends. The oil coming through has definitely ate away at the rubber coupler going to the passenger side of the intercooler. I can literally take my fingernail and scrape off rubber from the inside of the coupler. before going with an IPD "Boostability" kit, I want to figure this problem out. Any more insight on the reasoning behind the oil drippage. Mine is concluding its leak at the same exact spot as the first picture posted.

I ordered the IPD part http://www.ipdusa.com/products/5430/114959-silicone-boost-tubing-coupler.

The Volvo's coupler lasted some 13 years/147000 miles. I doubt IPD would go more than a few years. It is silicon/nylon, may deform with heat and age.

Giving it a try.

I took another photo before replacing the coupler with ipd's silicon/nylon made replacement.
Previous cleanup, re-using the deteriorating coupler, and tightening the clamps have reduced the accumulation. The photo is 10 days after the cleanup.

Out of curiosity, what type of turbo is it?

In my case, it is an accumulation of vapors coming from the PCV nipple at fresh air pipe where it clamps over the turbo.

It appears the nipple seal itself is showing age. The replacement pipe is this item http://www.ipdusa.com/products/9736/120407-turbo-air-intake-hose-p2-5-cylinder-turbo

I have oil and filter change due, I will take a look again.

It is now more than four years keeping eye on this leak. The leaking fluid accumulates at the bottom of the AG and drips - AG is coated and wet with fluid.

The search of Turbo Return Line (Turbo Drain Pipe) brings up discussions of replacing gasket and and o'ring, but not much on repairing in an AWD configuration. Is AG blocking access and repair?

TIA.
