09 S60 tail light bulbs

Post by div4scpro »

one left tail light bulb on my wifes s60 went out, wiggled the bulb, it worked for a short while. went out again, replaced the bulb, no go. now neither tail light bulb on the left work. checked the fuses in the trunk panel, visually good and test good with a meter. is there a known issue with the bulb holder or does anyone have any other troubleshooting ideas? I may try to swap with the right bulb holder.

Do a battery reset to clear the bulb fault code. The 2005 and later use transistor regulated bulbs and will shut down when shorted.

Disconnect battery, touch the removed ground cable to the pos cable for 3 or more seconds and then put the ground cable back on.
OR clear the codes with a COMPLETE car code reader, OBD-II gizmos will not do the codes other than ECm and TCM.
