Vacuum Hose To Banjo Bolt Size? T6 engine but 2.5T Ok.

Post by cn90 »

For the BLACK Plastic Pipe listed for T6 engine but used in 2.5T engine all the time, does anyone have a used one lying around and can measure for me the I.D. of this pipe?

Is this around 3/16"?

Can one use a fuel line with thick wall instead of this plastic pipe?

I have a 2001 V70 and I recently replaced this hose, the old one I took off was 3mm ID and 5mm OD. To replaced it I purchased a PFA hose from Mcmaster Carr with the same dimensions. I think it would be best to use the Volvo hose and banjo fitting or replace with a high temp, high chemical resistant, hard plastic type hose of the same dimensions since, in my opinion, the small ID of the hose helps create a restriction between the manifold under boost conditions and the crankcase. Would also highly recommend using the latest rev banjo bolt, which has a check valve and a better design than previous versions. 31325709
