Sorry, did try to post an answer yesterday, but the site had locked up on my computer.
I too had difficulty finding a good set of back plates/dust shields. I eventually found a set at Chapman Motors on Vancouver Island. I buy a fair amount of stuff from them so they very kindly pulled them without doing the usual cutting a slot in them at the front edge, then bending them to get them off the hub without having to pull the rear wheel bearings (only other way to get the off and on).
By the time I paid the labour for them and had them powder coated (along with a bunch of other stuff for a batch price) they cost me more than they would have new. But as you realise, the parts are obsolete and so there is no other options.
2000 'R' cars are getting harder to find and so are the used parts. Have you tried I think they were called Southern Volvo or vandsautodismantlers, Erie Vo-vo?
Even Chapman Motors are worth a chance. I would say to use my name, but as I drive them nuts (lol) with my requests, that may not be a good idea. I'm joking though. The guys are good, not cheap, but never had a bad part from them.
These are carefully stashed away for the day I need them. Mind you, if I sell the 'R' later this year, they may be available then. Probably too late, but I will let you know if that comes to reality.
Good Luck!
Neil.

Neil,
On your post about the subframe , page 4 , picture 4 , I can see two lines going over to the LH side of the tank.
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=69287&start=30
I zoomed in and the hose marked with the red circle looks like it has some rubber connector on it. This seems like the area where the leak is happening. I tried using the Milwaukee scope today but alas it’s not like a smart phone hi-res camera, I couldn’t see any broken or split lines. I’ll try again tomorrow now that I’ve looked at your pictures and have a better idea what I’m looking for. You mentioned lowering the tank a bit for better visibility, is that done by removing the two bolts in the front side of the tank straps?

As to dropping the tank, you are correct from my recollection of the thread, but in my defence that was a few years ago and not my thread.
If that pipe is failed, that is one of the NLA pipes. It will be hard to replicate as it is a stepped rubber pipe and 'corrugated'. You may be able to make something as I recall reading a post before starting on my repairs about someone making one using different sized fuel pipes to get the step. It wasn't clear how they did it, but I would suggest that it would require fuel rated glue and probably pipe clamps.
Again, I may have a good used one I could find for you as I pulled a couple of spares at PnP a few years ago.
That pipe is a fuel return pipe from the engine bay, But I would have to re-look at my pictures to see if I can recall the routing once the cover material is removed.
Neil.

You know I am here if I can help!
Just pulled 2 x 'green stripe' Nivomats from the one and only P80 AWD in our 2 PnP's. Strangely a black 99 S70 AWD!! Also salvaged the SC-900, amp and cable too. SC-900 in now in the 'R'. That S70 cannot be a local car as the sub-frame looked new! Maybe it was before it looks like it went into a field.
I wish you a whole bunch of luck!! I have some parts if you are really stuck.
