My 2004 says SRS should be "Serviced", unspecified how.

Today I've been to the dealership and ordered a new exhaust manifold screw. The gasket is leaking towards the edge and while investigating I noticed the manifold is missing a screw. Hopefully that'll do it.

I didn't know the airbags were meant to be replaced, I though they were meant to be inspected at 10y old? Good to know Volvo says now they are safe even past 10y, feel safe

It might have been a P80’sticker that said that and P2 stickers were different

That floor mat I got out of that pick and pull car... even though it looked pretty good, 2 days in a row I got in the car and could smell something a little 'earthy'. So I brought the mat back in the house and cleaned it in a large tub full of hot water, upside down while working the pile instead of just going over it endlessly with the upholstery cleaner wand. I can't get over how much sand and grit was trapped deep down in the pile. The first round of cleaning pulled a ton of dirt out already. What looked like minor damage wear in a couple spots fluffed back up as the stuff embedded down in the pile came out.

Edit, after drying overnight and a dachshund style ultra scrutiny sniff audit, it went back in the car and I think I'm good now.

You should mention the '05 base in another thread is what you're talking about. I mean...
....we all get along here but we don't share a common nervous system.

Upon further review.....the car in the earlier thread title has been changed to an '06....a "Long Island car" , no less.
For those who don't know, the rumor is that salt is not used on Long Island roads because it would pollute the aquifers.

I don't know if that is true or not.

Good luck with it.

They do salt on Long Island - and believe they use brine rather than rock salt in 'most' municipalities - where "most" is an unqualified adjective with no factual support, intended to strengthen the statement legitimacy.

That would have nothing to do with your SRS servicing. You actually brought it to a VOLVO dealer and they told you nothing???!!!
Needs to be hooked up on VIDA to see what actually is bad. However, if you have an SRS light that means your airbags are not working...none of them!

I should probably have quoted but the first part was I relation to the ten year replacement discussion, not my car.
