v70 xc 2002 no power to passengers door

Post by wooded »

Hello, I am having no power to my front passengers door, no window, no lock, no mirror. there has been no damage, the window doesn't move with drivers or passengers door switches. I searched for a wiring diagram here, but found none. fuses are fine! where should i look/start?

I know you said you checked the fuses, but I these cars have 3 fuse panels. Engine, by the steering wheel, and in the rear. Did you check all three?
I would pull each fuse, many times a fuse controls more than just what the label on the diagram says.

I had a similar problem in my '99 xc70 after tearing the entire door apart I located the problem. My wiring harness had come undone. If you have checked all the fuses I would look to the wiring harness. It has been a few years but I seem to remember that the disconnect is located somewhere near the door hinges. Before taking the door apart look under the rubber weather seal protecting the harness. You might get lucky and find the problem there.

hello, thanks for the input, i had my local tech pull codes which state the control module for that side is gone. apparently, an expensive part only to be programmed at the dealer. I suspect my leak under the passengers dash is the culprit. i just wish i knew where it was coming from.

It is probably not from the leak under passenger dash. The part that has failed is called the PDM or Passenger Door Module. This is the actual switch on the door panel. That switch requires software to complete the install. It is part number 30658117, we keep it in stock at a discounted price. It must be installed by a shop with VIDA for the software download.
