V70 '98 Front Passenger Wheel growl on left turn

'98 V70 175K miles. I am getting a deep, slow, rhythmic clicking sound when I turn the wheel to an extreme left turn at low speed. No highway speed whining from the wheel. I was thinking wheel bearing, but I would expect a constant whine. Any thought?

Sounds like it could be the drive axle. Check the boots for tears and leaking grease.

Sounds to me like your tire may be rubbing on the fender well (my S80 does this, too).

Sounds like classic "failing CV joint" noise.
Fix it quick before you're left stranded.
These guys are priced between the chinese
cheapo's and OEM Volvo. Very solid product.

Like the original poster, I would think wheel hub (bearing, yes, but entire hub has to be replaced) too.
