I'm hoping someone can help me out here. We've got an'05 XC90 burning oil. Dealer says "$325 to diagnose, and in addition its' most likely it's your turbo which will cost $3000". I have been doing some research through the forum, and I see that it is most likely based on the symptoms the turbo or oil line return/gasket.
I'm pretty good under the hood, but I was hoping to get some guidance from your experience on:
1) Reliable used parts
2) Online repair guide or video showing the process
3) Repair manuals
Thanks in advance. I could really use a hand here.

The only reason a turbo would fail so early in it's life is from a lack of timely oil changes. You may not be the original owner so this may not fall on you, but it's not going to be cheap.
It could be the oil return gasket leaking oil, but you would have evidence of that all over the place. Does the car smoke badly when driving, have no power and consume oil? Is this car a T6 or 2.5T?
The webpage for information from Volvo is "Volvotechinfo.com". It has instructions on installation and repair procedures. They charge money for different pieces of information.
