How do I manually raise my window until I get the new part?
I have a V70, 1998 and the driver's side window will go down but not up. What can I do until I can get it fixed?

Is it an electric window?
I have a 2000 V70T on which the right rear electric window gave a bang and stoped working. Initially it wouldn't wind up or down. I found out that the upper cable pulley broke (plastic) allowing the cable to jam in the mechanism. For the interim I took the door trim off and manually pushed the windor up and secured it by wedging a plastic pin into a hole in the guide rail that was conveniently placed under the channel that the glass is held in by the manufactures. This stoped the glass from sliding down until it goes in for repairs this coming Friday.
I hope this can be of help.

I thought I had a bad window motor because the window would not allways go up. It would allways go down with no problem. I decided to check the switches and sure enough it was just that. Got used switch off e-bay and no more problems. If I remember correctly I took off the door panel and pulled up the window manually and then put the motor back in which locked the window in the up position unless I hit the switch down.

its the switch, take it apart buy some contact cleaner and it should work fine. I did it last night on my wifes 98' s70 master switch. I had the same exact problem.
