98 S70 what goes here?

Is there supposed to be something in this hole? it looks just like the hole one of my pvc lines goes into, except theres smaller holes with threads on each side. is it for something on a turbo model?

I'm sure it was put there for some potential reason but all of mine are just like that.

Maybe it was for the rumored S70 T-10... mating two engines, with substantial hood bulge

LMAO. i was just wondering if thats where all the oil i had up there was coming from. kinda wierd they just have a hole with no plug there

Don't be ridiculous. They already built in an oil-leaker (on a 2-year timer): the oil cap gasket

Sorry for the topic hijack, but there really were rumors about a decade ago that someone had made an 850 T-10 by putting in another B5234T5 in the trunk driving the rear wheels

.

with the stuff ive seen people do, id believe it, check this out, it has nothing to do with volvos...actually it kinda does, there are volvo semis that have this engine in them

Awesome.

The standard operating procedure is to start the front engine, then light off the real one in the rear, put it in gear, and hang on. Since the N14 Cummins has so much low-end torque and limited rpms, Jim says the lower gears in the transmission are basically useless.

Hi

In some models (american market) that hole is conected with the air pump in the first version of air pump. The last version of air pump conected to the exhaust manifold.

i still think its foolish not to plug unused holes.
