haha, thats a nice example. if you change your preference you can change your plugs...or have her dye her hair, lolOzark Lee wrote:OK, now this is getting personal:
I actually had a 1960 Studebaker Lark at one low point in my life. What a pile of crap it was with a "three on the tree" shifter but it wouldn't quit - much like my International Scout with a 345 V8. At least the Scout had a floor shifter.Champion being the best plug out there because that's what his uncle Elmer runs is his Studebaker pick up truck.
I guess I am into cars that will run forever which led me to Volvo.
I can't remember what spark plugs I used on the Studebaker but I can assure you that they weren't Bosch or Denso.
This thread is getting like preferences on blondes, brunettes, or redheads or what your favorite oil is. For the record, my preference is brunettes - I'm not even going to comment on oil.

Correct spark plug recomendations.

I use the autolite double platinums in my 93 850 and in my 94 turbo.(one step colder in the turbo)turbotim2 wrote:I am going to get jumped all over by the non believers on here but...
I have run Autolite Double Platinums in my 850 NA for the last 70k miles without issue. I also pulled one of them two weeks ago and the electrodes are still like new, though a little brown and maintained their gap. My fuel milage also increased by about 2 mpg from the moment I put them in.
I put the Bosch coppers in the other 850 NA and they work fine but no mpg improvement and they will need to be replaced in 25k.
