tape player spits tapes back out? Topic is solved

i had to get an fm transmitter for my iPod recently (which i despise) because my tape player has gone crazy. if i put a tape in, it just spits it back out. i'm clueless about electronics; can this be fixed? and if not, what are my options?

I highly recommend getting an aftermarket deck. Get an mp3 player, then you can make mp3 disks on a your computer and play them in your car. Then you wouldn't even need to use your Ipod in the car. I have had good luck with Panasonics. I used to install car stereos, and we had problems with Sony and Kenwood. Regardless of others may say, I saw the defective decks first hand. I have owned 2 panasonics and a kenwood. I had to return the Kenwood because it was defective. At the time that was kenwood's best deck.
