1990 volvo 240 DL (automatic) fuel system problems
when the motor gets hot the fuel seems to stop flowing correctly, it wont go above 30 and sputters as if no gas is getting to it. when you press on the gas peddle (after the car is hot= 10miles) it starts lurching. Help please I need sugestions, or if this has ever happened to anyone let me know
I would have someone check the fule pressure: one of the fuel pumps may be bad, or one of the fuel filters could be clogged.
I had a similar problem with an '85 740 (B230F), and it turned out to be the throttle posistion sensor. The engine would simply sputter out and die above 2000 RPMs because the fuel injection system did not know to feed more gas.
