Replacing Door mirror glass

Post by Delsexcel »

A recent close encounter resulted in a shattered RH mirror glass, which was left hanging on the heater wires! As far as I can see nothing in the body of the mirror is damaged but I can't figure out how the glass is fixed in place or released, so perhaps something is broken?
Can anyone give some advice on how to replace the glass please?
Regards
Derek

They just snap in...there are plastic pieces that snap onto wire looking pieces.. When you replace the glass you'll need to move the mirror motor (from inside the car) so that it is turned all the way in... that way you can get your fingers in behind the glass to get the mirror piece to snap in place.
