1978 245DL No Start after fuel line change

I am working on a 1978 245dl wagon, was running fine but had fuel smell. then it died and would not start.
I changed a 1/2" fuel line with cracks no start
started in on fuel pump and relays. found that leaky windshield took out the fuel pump relay. fuel pump works now but wont start.

Any ideas?

Did you replace the fuel pump relay with a known good relay?

Also, are you sure that you're getting fuel and spark when you're cranking the engine?

Hi Darryl, thank you for responding.
I just checked the coil for ohm readings and have 0 on the secondary side
.08 on the primary side.
any sugjestions or tests other than replacement

Has the car been sitting for awhile, The Control module could be bad, if that not working you wont get any spark.

The primary resistance measured over the two small, outer poles should be 0.6 - 0.9 ohms.

The secondary resistance measured between the 12v small pole and the centre pole should be 6,500 - 9,000 ohms.

A coil that is even slightly out of range should be replaced.

I re checked and zeroed my ohm meter, I think i have the ez116k system in this car. I have a bosch coil And ecu control unit anyway.

my coil reads 2 ohms useing rx-1 on my meter for primary {in my book it calls out 0.6 to 1.0 ohms)

for secondary it reads 0 on rx-1 but on rx-3 it reads between 50 and 100 (book calls out 6.5 to 8.5 ohms)
I took my coil to be tested one place said replace the other said its fine :?:

Derail, to answer your first reply. I bought the relay on line from swedish auto parts. the part # is 3523639 but the relay is white instead of green
for k tronic ign. :?: :?: :?:

fuses #15 & 16 No power either side
The 1978 owner's manual shows a 12 fuse box plus "the fuel feed pump fuse is located in the wire to the left under the mat in the trunk. Amperage: 5A."

The 1979 owner's manual is the first one to show a 16 fuse box with fuse #5 for the feed pump and #7 for the main pump. Fuse #15 is for the Left parking light, License plate light, Side marker light(wagon) and fuse #16 Right parking light, Instrument and panel light, Buzzer head lights. They share a lead in from the light switch.

Is it possible that this is a 1979 model?

The part number for the relay is the Volvo number in VADIS which doesn't specify a colour.

definately 09/ 1977 still no spark
