Long crank befor start
Long crank befor start
Hi everyone. I have an s80 1999. I have to crank engine for a long time to start. After start it runs fine. If it sits for a while I have no fuel pressure when I check at the engine. If I start and run for a while and turn off and restart right away it will start right up. Is this an easy fix? Thanks for any help.

Look at replacing your fuel pressure regulator. On your S80, it should be right near the fuel filter. I have the same problem with my S40, it's on my list to replace, but I've just been living with it.

I have looked for the fuel pressure regulator but can't find it. I have nothing close to the fuel filter. The fuel line comes down from the tank and into the filter under the passenger side rear door. then the line travels up to the engine. I have to vacume lines from the airbox. One goes down to the lower part of the airbox and one goes to the intake above the injectors. this is where i have the pressure check for fuel. Looks like a tirefill tube. I have another small vacume inlet with a cap. any help or a picture would be great thank you
