How to change the PCV Valve?

Post by rp850 »

Hi,

I was hoping to find out how to change the PCV valve. Is this a reasonable DIY task? I scanned the Haynes manual but I didn't see where it explained it. Talked about EGR but not PCV. Can someone point me in the right direction? It's gotta be somewhere near the intake manifold, right?

Thanks!

There is no PVC . The EGR uses an oil seperator located under the intake manifold which has a connection to the intake. If you don't have turbo the flame trap located at the end of the hose needs to be cleaned of replaced or removed as if it is clogged major problems can occur to to high crankcase pressure.

Thanks! No wonder I couldn't find it! I noticed there's great instructions on removing and cleaning the EGR on the Volvospeed website. I might try that one of these days.
