In my opinion. If I don't work on my own vehicle, I want Matt Varrenti to work on my vehicle. He is located in Penn Hills on Frankstown Rd.
His qualifications are of firstly learning from his dad since he was very young. His dad in 1977 was the only Pittsburgher who made it to the Sunday Grand Nationals final in Drag racing, though redlighted and hung up his gloves after, taught Matt a massive amount of automotive mechanics. As well, that Matt was at the top of his class in Tech school. On a more impressive note, at a local automotive repair shop, Matt was often asked by senior mechanics of what to do and how.
He has performed not only OE standard work faster than book related time allowances, but also has the lust for perfection and optimizations.
( He has no respect for my automotive abilities, nor any respect for me, but if I don't do something on my vehicle, he is the ONLY one who is going to touch my vehicle. Definite for my 1998 Volvo V70R. )
He is honest and prices are fair, which is better than most non Volvo shops.
If you have to wait 2 weeks before he can get to your Volvo, or whatever, it is worth the wait.
If you live in the Pittsburgh, PA area or a little bit out of the way, have Matt Varrenti deal with your car/truck.
Don't let the look or location of the shop fool you. You won't find a better mechanic.
