"EMISSION SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED" This message greeted me this morning when I started up my S60.
Can anyone shed some light on what money pit this might lead me to?
I have read numerous threads on this site regarding oxygen sensors, and catalytic converters being the cause of this message.

Could be serious but in all likelihood not serious- go to autozone or another auto parts store and have your codes read. If you take it to a dealer first, you're apt to get taken for big $$ whether you need it or not.
