RESSTORING FINISH

Post by 66 GT350 »

THE PAINT ON MY 94 850 IS DULL. I TRIED SOME WAX ON IT BUT IT DIDN'T DO THAT GOOD OF A JOB. I WAS THINKING OF A LIGHT COMPOUND TO USE. ANY IDEAS AS FAR AS GRIT # AND BRAND. ALSO I WAS THINKING OF USING SOMETHING LIKE NU FINISH. ANY IDEAS? IT'S MOSTLY THE ROOF THAT'S FADED. THE CAR IS RED.

RED 94 850 134K 5SP. MAN.
SILVER 95 850 149K 5SP. MAN.

I just picked up some Turtle Wax Color Back Polish/Wax to see if it covers up some scratches and some fading I've got on my rear spoiler. It seemed to help but it was getting dark when I finished up. I'll know more tomorrow.

I like Griot's products. They have a good Find Hand Polish and Best of Show wax that seems to work pretty well.

Thanks!

Any auto rubbing compound will do. Apply with a damp rag ,buff when dry and then wax.
