xc 70 drive shaft rubbing on exhaust Topic is solved

My new in Sept 2004 xc 7o has the rear drive shaft grind on the exhaust every time I go through slushy snow or heavy puddles. Apparently the exhaust contracts when cold and pulls into drive shaft. Thats what I'm being told. I'm on my third attempt to remedy the problem. Does anyone else have the problem and if so when has this been known by Volvo. they claimed I was only complaint.

You can go to a muffler shop and have them heat the pipe up a bit and move it away from the drive shaft. I've never heard of anyone having that problem before either.
