Change Rearview mirror

Is it possible to Change Rearview mirror to an autodim mirror in my volvo s80 2006 ?

Hello,

I am not an expert. With that out of the way, I can tell you that I own a 2007 S80 with auto dim mirrors. The 07' rearview mirror requires a power source to operate. In my car, this power source comes from the sun roof switch/wiring immediately above the rearview mirror. The photo cell that makes the mirror function is integrated within the mirror. On the 07', both the outside rearview mirrors dim as well. I am not sure where they get there cue to dim. I think it may come from the main rearview mirror.

I can't tell you if the modification is possible but given the above I would think it would be possible.
