engine "coughs" on acceleration

'95 850 Turbo Wagon
with rapid acceleration, the engine coughs, hesitates, skips, whatever else you want to call it. this happens after a few seconds of gaining speed. any ideas? Thanks, Charles (ccb222) ([email protected])

More than likely a simple misfire. Check your codes and reference them here. Most likely related to the ignition system.
