Driver's Side Wiper Blade Mechanism 1991 240
The windshield wiper on the driver's side of my 1991 240 Volvo has stopped working. My mechanic is unsure of how to access the wiper. We popped the hood and you cannot access it that way. He thinks you need to pull the dash out. Is that correct or is there another less labor intensive way to determine why the wiper blade isn't working?

This repair is one of the least documented for the 240, but there is a very comprehensive, if rough (author's own words, not mine) guide here.

I viewed it with IE7 not Firefox and it works OK.
