radio dosent work on my 1989 240 gl

Just bought 1989 240gl and i having 2 problems. The first problem is the radio dosent work. The second problem is when i push the defrost button on the heater controls nothing comes out of the defrost vents. Can someone please help! Oh there will probly be more questions the longer i own it! Thanks
