1995 850 Exterior Trim replacement

Post by Bliink »

Hello all,

I was hoping someone might know of where or how I could get replacement trim for the exterior of my 850. The exact trim I am referring to is along the sides of the roof starting from the base of the front window continuing up and over the roof of the car and ending at the top of the rear window.

The trim on my 850 has started to peel and now shows a beige color that is under the black color that should show.

Anyone know of anybody that sells this kind of stuff or a "fix"?

Thanks for everybodys time and efforts.

~ Patrick

It is a dealer $$ only item. Some have used vinyl tape to mask the lost strip.

From what I've heard some people have been pretty successfull at removing and painting the old strips. Just use a real good quality flat black and make sure it's clean and free from flakes. This is the method I plan on implementing since I've heard that the parts are $150 for EACH side.

Gotta say i agree with the volvo freak, just make sure you use a styrofoam brush to avoid streaks, cut it down to width size. I did this to my car saved 300 dollars and looks as good as new. Good luck
