radiator fan

i found a radiator fan for a 960, they say it is for years 1992-1994.

my question is, should this fan work in my '95?

VADIS shows the part numbers are different and the pictures are totally different.

There was an engine change in 1995. The safest way to check is by the engine code in the VIN - 6th. & 7th. digits give the engine code.

95 denotes the B6304FS 1992 - 1994.
96 denotes the B6304FS2 1995 - 1997.

If your vehicle was early 1995 it may still have the earlier engine so it will work.

the question i am posing to myself is: a cooling fan, is a cooling fan, is a cooling fan, right?

Yes, a cooling fan is a cooling fan. Sometimes there are differences in the mounting which make it difficult to fit.

However, having looked at the pictures of both types of fan they would appear to be very similar, if not exactly the same, although the parts numbers are different.

just from looking at them, that is what i was thinking. they appear to be pretty much the same fan
