Hello, I'm beginning to buy mechanics tools as I learn to work on my V70. Currently, I'm looking for jack stands.
I would prefer to purchase tools that are made in the USA. Hein-Werner apparently are made here, but are owned by a non-American company. I would prefer to support not only American labor, but also an American based company who chose to keep jobs here.
Does anyone know which brands fit this requirement? Thanks.

I have a pair of jack stands that I inherited from my father-in-law, circa 1950, that are full on American but beyond that I don't think there is such a thing anymore that you can buy new.
The Buffalo brand Chinese crap from Harbor Freight seems to work except for the holes they punch in my asphalt coated driveway, the old school American jack stands do the same thing though.
I may just have Chinese asphalt on the driveway.
