I have the absolute same problemGrassin_Vidz wrote:My problem is this. It's bloody cold for miles from a cold start. It takes an absolute age to heat up. Unless I'm stuck in traffic the temp gauge hardly moves, and even with the climate control at full pelt the heater at best is only luke warm.
I guess I'll have to change the thermostat.

+1, considering the ECT has similar lifespan as t-stat's.BEJinFbk wrote:This is also a great opportunity to replace the temp sensor.
It's right in the same area and well worth doing now.
FYI, OEM is 90 only for n/a.polskamafia mjl wrote:What do the different degree's mean about the thermostats? On FCP's site there are three different t-stats rated at 87, 90, and 92 degrees...

Also check your coolant, when I had that issue (slow to warm up) my coolant drained out almost the color of motor or oil transmission fluid. It was practically BLACK!
