I meant to type DIM (as in Driver Information Module) instead of CEM on my posts on this subject. Doh! Sorry for any confusion.

Well now, to date I've had the light "pot" re-soldered to the board and replaced the Turn signal/DIM controler on the steering column. The light shown brightly until I turned off the car; restarted it; and turned on the high beams. No light again!!!!!
I may just have to live with it.

I've been using the front fog light indicator light as a high beam light. Its a lot more reliable than my high beam indicator and a heck of a lot cheaper than replacing the DIM. Stupid design!

Bill,

that's exactly how we're doing it too. I'm trying one more shot with a local speedometer shop, then I'm done. I've got about $250 in this and Volvo has been no help.
