Noisy cam followers on V70 TDi - 97 model

Post by JohnJay »

It seems I got noisy cam followers on my 1997 model V70 TDI. She's got 128k miles up and going just great. Everything working by the book. What's this cam follower problem about? Serious? I have about 10k miles of journeys on the road to do and then intend to sell her for smaller car.
Do I need to get the problem fixed or can I continue on and let her new Daddy (or Mommy) take it on board in the purchase? JJMcG

Hhmm, I don't know much about the diesel Volvo engines, but on the petrol engines, valvetrain noise can often times be a sign of the oil pan o-rings needing to be replaced.
